Raps is a musician. And a tinkerer. He hammers out songs. And builds little melodies. Every time he plays a new tune, the sun, the moon, and the stars rise. But never before has a little boy emerged from his songs... ‘Rapsodie’ is a visually rich performance about how you can play an entire world together, even when it's raining outside. More than 15 years after his debut, Maarten Van Aerschot is once again creating a performance for preschoolers. Together with Robbe Mols and Evelyne Meersschaut, among others, he is building an elaborate craft project with puppets and an inventive set. Muzikant Toon Van Mierlo kicks off what you will see and hear with his extensive collection of instruments. By and with: Maarten Van Aerschot, Toon Van Mierlo and Robbe Mols (acting), Evelyne Meersschaut (puppets), Jeroen Ceulebrouck, Eva Tindemans, Virginie Van Oost and Giel De Bont (animation). In co-production with Perpodium, with thanks to CC Het Gasthuis. With the support of the Flemish government, the city of Aarschot, and the Tax Shelter of the Belgische Federale Overheid.
