Het Vanessa Matthys Quartet is the acoustic jazz formation around the charismatic Belgian jazz singer Vanessa Matthys. With Met Dominique Vantomme (piano), Werner Lauscher (bass) and Geert Roelofs (drums), she brings together an international quartet (BE/DE/NL) in which vocals are central in a unique way. With room for storytelling and haunting melodies, but just as much for virtuoso themes and improvisation. And with roots in traditional jazz but just as much with tentacles towards the universes of E.S.T., Gretchen Parlato and Kurt Elling. In May 2026, their newest CD 'The Secret Vault' will be released, featuring their highly appreciated mix of contemporary jazz, traditionals and timeless pop classics in a unique jazz outfit. This will be an evening that will warm both your heart and ears: understated and refined, and at the same time powerful and boisterous.
