Weekend walk in theme: tree frog

A very special frog in the Zwin is the tree frog. Tree frogs are very rare in Belgium and the Netherlands. A few decades ago there were barely a handful left, but due to targeted nature management, the numbers have increased exponentially over the last ten years. In the Zwin and surroundings, the tree frog is completely back. Tree frogs actually do what other frogs just don't do: sit in the sun. Yet you don't see them easily, because they have good camouflage. But they do not escape the eye of the Zwin guide, and they are happy to tell you everything you want to know about this 'plakpuut'.
