Brouwerij De Troch: where tradition continues to ripen

Sun, 13 Sept 2026 · 10:00
Brouwerij De Troch, Wambeek (Ternat)
Free
Step inside a Wambeek farm where brewing has been going on for more than two centuries. Here, classic lambic tradition and surprising new flavors mature side by side. In an old Wambeek farm, beer has been brewed since at least 1820. What started as a combination of a farm, chicory roastery, and brewery grew into Brouwerij De Troch: a family business where centuries-old craftsmanship and a sense of experimentation go hand in hand. Today, the brewery produces more than 4,000 hectoliters annually, most of which finds its way abroad. In addition to classic lambic beers, De Troch dared to be the first to combine traditional geuze with surprising fruit flavors. Discover a special piece of living industrial heritage, where old brewing traditions continue to mature and at the same time receive new flavors. Practical info: Registration necessary. You can choose the guided tour from 10:00 to 11:00, or the one from 11:00 to 12:00. A guided tour is conducted by an experienced guide and takes you past the installations and processes that make the creative lambic beers of Brouwerij De Troch what they are. The tour lasts about 50 minutes. This activity is part of the program ‘A landscape to care for: Ternat in good hands’.
