This is a sub-activity of the 1000-species weekend. When it gets dark, glow-worms can sometimes be spotted. These fascinating little animals actually belong to the beetles and are therefore not worms at all. In the mating season, the wingless females give light signals for the flying males. In response to the 1000-species weekend, we are curious to what extent the population of yesteryear still holds up in and around the Sixtus forest complexes. After an introduction to the life of these miraculous nature phenomena, Wim Packet takes us on a nocturnal micro-adventure. End expected around 12:00 AM. After the walk, you can also join the night moth inventory on site. Adjust clothing and footwear to the weather conditions. Participation: Natuurpunt members free - non-members €2.00.
