Musica Divina 2026: ORLANDOviols Harmony of Spheres

The movements of celestial bodies have long fascinated humanity in particular. In the models of astronomers and philosophers from the Renaissance, the sun, the moon and the five then-known planets were depicted in universal harmony: the Harmonie der Sferen. In the 16th and 20th centuries, proportions played a major role in the arts, from architecture to music. ORLANDOviols takes those mathematical proportions and explores the musical concepts based on them in a spatial context. They break with the traditional idea of a frontal stage and place the audience in the heart of the performance. Fifteen speakers and a light installation ensure an unparalleled concert experience!
