Lauden meets Shapovalov

Enjoy the third classical summer concert at dusk on Sunday, August 30, in the wonderful Saint Bavo's Abbey. This concert is organized by Historische Huizen Gent and Neighbors of the Abbey out of love for music and our grateful audience. In the context of our recent collaboration with Shapovalov, we present the Portuguese cellist Joao Gonçalves. Joao studied at the Brussels Conservatory. Since September 2022, he has been perfecting his skills at the prestigious Muziekkapel Koningin Elisabeth. Joao is currently participating in the pre-selections of the Koningin Elisabethwedstrijd. After the concert, we continue the evening at Herberg Macharius. The musicians of Shapovalov (Taha and Yassine Posman, Jacob Van Durme, Renaat De Keyser, etc.) provide a musical jam where spontaneity and playing pleasure are central.
