Duo Kanadé
As part of the Fête de la Musique, MoMuse in Molenbeek welcomes Duo Kanadé for the Heure Musicale.
When the delicate strings of the koto meet the warm breath of the saxophone, a new harmony comes to life. This Japanese-Belgian duo reinvents classical Japanese traditions through a dialogue with Western compositions, creating music that is at once ancient and modern. Their recital goes beyond cultural fusion: it is a humanistic invitation to listen, to forge connections, and to embrace a universal message of peace.
Programme:
Michel Lysight – Méditation
Michio Miyagi – "Haru no umi" The Sea of Spring
Hozan Yamamoto – "Ichikotsu"
Fanny Libert – Pages Croisées (world premiere) in the presence of the composer
Katsuhiko Yoshizaki – "Aika" Elegy
Chamber Music for Europe brings together and engages professional chamber music ensembles of the new generation, with the support of the municipality of Molenbeek-Saint-Jean and the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles.
