Mixed-race, five women against a state crime

After a lifetime of silence, five women nearly 80 years old decide to denounce the crime against humanity they endured. Léa, Noëlle, Monique, Simone, and Marie-José were born in Congo and are all of mixed race, with a black mother and a white father. When they were between two and five years old, they were forcibly taken from their mothers by the Belgian state as part of a systematic policy of racial segregation. This film follows their lawsuit against the Belgian state for crimes against humanity and recounts, through animation, their childhood memories and traumas.
