Planeet Heist returns this autumn: in a more modest — but no less — powerful edition. We are focusing on responsible production and consumption with a comedy show by Low Impact Man, the film Eat More Trees, and a repair café. So don't throw away your broken items, but have them repaired at the repair café and discover at the same time how we can make ourselves more resilient on a warming planet. www.planeetheist.be   Keeping our heads cool together on a warmer planet - An eco-comedy performance by Low Impact Man (Steven Vromman) Can humor save the world? Steven Vromman, alias Low Impact Man, is certainly making an attempt with his ‘eco-comedy show’. With the necessary flair, he shows what is going on with our world and what we can still do about it. Is it fair that large companies receive subsidies to pollute while we have to turn down the heating? Is it true that people in Globale Zuiden are already feeling the consequences of climate change today? And this while they barely emit anything? These and other issues are viewed in an original way. In between, we laugh—whether or not nervously—at the exaggerated habits of Homo Consumentus and reflect on what kind of world we want to leave to the next generations. Afterwards, everyone goes home with the realization that we have the future in our own hands, and that as a citizen and consumer, you can contribute to a just world.
