De Doemdenker is a comedic stage adaptation of The Imaginary Invalid by Molière, created by Ad van den Kieboom, in a direction by Sonja Baten.
The story revolves around Fontein, a well-to-do hypochondriac who is convinced that he is seriously ill and can die at any moment. As a result, he constantly lets himself be influenced by quacks and so-called experts. While Terwijl Fontein fixates on his supposed illnesses, various people in his surroundings try to take advantage of that. Fortunately, a clever housekeeper provides surprising twists, allowing truth, humor, and love to ultimately prevail.
