2026 - OKRA Duffel : Louis Zimmer namiddag in Lier Sunday, June 21, 2026 (walk + Lier vlaaike + museum + tower) We will be guided through Lier by a specialized guide and walk in the footsteps of Louis Zimmer, past the town hall with its belfry, the Saint Gummarus Church, his birthplace, to end at his life's work and the Zimmer Museum. The guide will provide us with a number of interesting facts to scientifically frame various aspects. To recover from the walk (1.5 km), we will be treated to a Lier vlaaike and coffee on the terrace of culture café “De Zimmer”. Afterwards, we will get acquainted with a world of “time and space” in the Zimmer Museum: the Wonder Clock, the Zimmer Tower with its Jubilee Clock, Astronomische Studio, and carousel. It will certainly be a Zimmer afternoon and definitely an educational trip through Lier. Date : Sunday, June 21, 2026 Location : Zimmer Museum, Zimmerplein 18, 2500 Lier. Departure in Duffel: promptly at 12:45 PM at the Chapel. Walk to the bus 63 stop. We will get off the bus at the Market in Lier. Everyone arranges their own bus ticket. Meeting point at the museum entrance: promptly at 2:00 PM, for those going directly to the museum. The museum is accessible to visitors with limited mobility; the tower is not.
