The art of disappearing, live in De Bijloke
Mark André lets nothing to the imagination in ‘...selig ist…’: here sound crumbles live before your ears. Jan Michiels gives shape to a score that was once reserved exclusively for Pierre-Laurent Aimard, but is now finally allowed further into the world. Sliding microtones and crumbling resonances pull through the space like fleeting memories. The SWR Experimentalstudio lays a razor-thin web of manipulated Berlin sound tracks underneath: material that disappears the moment you think you recognize it. ‘...selig ist…’ is a concentrated meditation on what falls away, but perhaps even more on what lingers afterwards.
