Michael McGoldrick & Tim Edey

An exceptional evening full of Irish & Celtic music is coming to Leuven. Het Iers College Leuven presents, together with Comhaltas Brussel, Michael McGoldrick & Tim Edey — two of the most celebrated and lauded musicians in the genre, and friends since 1996. McGoldrick, once voted Musician of the Year at the BBC Folk Awards, is a master on flute, whistle and uilleann pipes. He founded the supergroups Lúnasa and Flook, has been the pivot of Capercaillie for more than two decades and tours the world in the band of Mark Knopfler. Edey, himself also Musician of the Year at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, is a brilliant guitarist and melodeon player who toured with The Chieftains and Sharon Shannon.
