DE MOTTEN CITY PARK _______________Welcome Back, Portland Het Stadsmuzikantenfestival presents a tasty blend of musical talent for the 17th time. This year, the lineup includes a melange of americana, groovy soul, cabaret, something between folk & soul, something between hip-hop and soul, Belpop classics, tight riffs, solid, smoky, velvety, and sizzling voices, melancholic cheerfulness, crushing beauty, beats, and poignant lyrics. The well-known Sunday afternoon formula remains, and in the evening we will again present the Welkom Terug concert. 14:30 - 17:30 > CITY MUSICIANS . BEGUINAGE 7 bands & singer-songwriters each artist plays 4 sets of 20 minutes at 7 characterful locations in the Begijnhof van Tongeren (Unesco Werelderfgoed) the audience puts together their own program while walking from one location to another, getting the chance to catch 7 small concerts in one afternoon rain shelters are provided for the musicians; we expect visitors to dress for the weather 18:30 – 19:30 > WELCOME BACK CONCERT . DE MOTTEN CITY PARK in the evening we welcome an artist who once performed at the City Musicians Festival but has since grown significantly this year that is Portland (City Musician in 2018), Jente Pironet plays a full set, solo but amplified in the MoMeNT tent in city park De Motten, a 3-minute walk from the Beguinage Het Stadsmuzikantenfestival is free
