Solstice walk (Silsombos-Torfbroek-Silsombos)

Today is a big party in 't Torfbroek! This year they are celebrating their 50th anniversary as a Nature Reserve and today the festivities reach a climax. We are celebrating with them! We depart at 10.30 am from the Visitor Centre and walk, via the orchid meadow and Nederokkerzeel to the Torfbroek. There is an opportunity to satisfy hunger and quench thirst. In the afternoon, we will take a walk there with landscape posts among the thousands of orchids. Afterwards, we walk, through the Groot Veld, back to the Visitor Centre and are back between 4.30 pm and 5 pm. So it will be a long walk of about 13 to 14km but we walk at a leisurely pace and enjoy this, hopefully beautiful, first day of summer. Sturdy footwear is recommended.
