Fête de la musique @ Saint-Gilles

On June 19, the Maurice Van Meenen square will vibrate to the rhythm of the Fête de la Musique, the unmissable event for Saint-Gilles residents! For this 2026 edition, the Culture Service is focusing on a fresh and open program, highlighting emerging artists. Fewer groups on stage than in other years but more space to fully enjoy each concert, more air, more breathing... and always as much energy with surprises, a participatory performance, and even a wandering orchestra so that the party never really stops! La Fête of the Musique de Saint-Gilles relies again this year on its essential partners: FrancoFaune, the Jacques Franck, Radio Alma, and the Restos du Cœur which will provide drinks and catering. It also has a new partner: the label Zig Zag World. Concerts: Place Maurice Van Meenen Jean‑Paul Groove Establishing itself as the headliner of this edition: the Brussels trio reinvents electronic music by playing it only with guitar, bass, and drums, without any machines. Between punk energy, funk groove, and organic techno structures, their live show is an explosive experience. Nsangu Liégeoise settled in Brussels, Nsangu devotes herself fully to music and theater. Coming from a Congolese family, she discovered neo-soul thanks to her uncle before exploring French chanson. By mixing these influences, she forges an "Expressive" style carried by her powerful and delicate voice. Yser Duo of Brussels electronic music lulled by multiple references, the group denies itself nothing and draws from them to deliver an eclectic live show. In concert, it is a romanticized walk that begins along the Senne before plunging into an electro and techno frenzy. For the occasion, they invite Fanny Dreiss, singer of the group Mogens, for a carte blanche. Wandering: Pufulet Orkestar Le Brussels quartet makes the Balkans resonate in all their intensity: Bulgarian dances, Romanian melodies, Serbian energy, klezmer accents... Saxophone, accordion, sousaphone, and tapan fuse to create an irresistible party. Participatory performance: Danse Immédiate Danse Immédiate invites the public to become co-creators of a collective choreography. Carried by Ana Carolina Mantovano and his team of professional dancers, this project mixes simple gestures, spontaneous creation, and intergenerational encounter.
