On October 25, the Japanse Tuin invites everyone to experience our flower offering ceremony. Everyone can offer a flower. You can bring it yourself. That one flower becomes a symbol of our gratitude and respect on this day. With gentleness, it is entrusted back to the earth. It shows us the cycle of life, the cycle of our life. After the ceremony, the flowers are offered outside at the Shinto shrine.
No separate ticket is needed for this ceremony. All visitors to the Japanse Tuin are welcome to participate. Because the number of places is limited, we recommend being present in time to be sure of a spot. This way you give yourself the best chance to experience this unique and serene experience.
Are all seats taken? No worries. You can always join in the Ceremony House after the ceremony for the second part: the flower offering at the Shintō shrine. There, everyone gets the opportunity to offer a flower and experience a moment of serenity and connection together. If you do not have a flower to offer yourself, you can always get one from the garden.
