That Dat Isabelle A is a fixture in the Flemish music landscape, we have known for a long time. But that her heart beats in two languages was only truly discovered by the general public in 2024 when she performed in sold-out venues with Isabelle A La Française, a bullseye. This tour was a logical next step after her impressive appearance in Liefde voor Muziek (VTM) in 2017. Her performance of “Dormir en Cuillère”, a French translation of “Lepeltjesgewijs” by Bart Peeters, struck a chord with TV-loving Flanders. That love later had a sequel on the radio, where Isabelle brought French gems weekly in the morning program Sven & Anke on Joe. Her renditions of, among others, “Le Vent Nous Portera” and a French version of “Onderweg” (Abel) made a deep impression. Now there is a sequel. A new series of concerts, a new musical chapter.
