FLORIS FRANCIS ARTHUR, The Leie Sessions

Floris Francis Arthur is the solo project of Floris De Decker, known as the frontman of Team William and as a musician with The Van Jets and Intergalactic Lovers. Armed with only his guitar, he aims straight for the heart, with songs that are disarmingly honest and fragile. Musically, we dwell in the shadow zones of melancholic lo-fi indiefolk, with echoes of country and the frayed edges of 90s indierock. His debut album There Never Is And Never Was A Masterplan stood out for its intimate bedroom folk; on the successor Little Did I Know, he chose a more powerful, versatile band sound. Both releases received rave reviews, and you hear his songs regularly on Radio 1 and Willy. Meanwhile, Floris Francis Arthur digs further into his special musical universe with a third album, this time entirely in Dutch.
