A gambist plays the viola da gamba, a string instrument that resembles a cello and was especially popular during the Renaissance and Baroque periods. The ensemble performs music from that period in a warm and accessible way. In doing so, the musicians combine classical music with influences from other cultures and contemporary music. Romina Lischka has already performed in concert halls and at festivals all over the world. Ook Hathor Consort has played on famous stages such as Bozar in Brussels, Concertgebouw Brugge, and concert halls in London and Hamburg. Their music has been awarded several international prizes.
