Summer Organ Sounds

In the second concert of our Zomerse Orgelklanken, a special duo performs, namely father and son. Vader Ignace Michiels accompanies on the organ his son Guillaume Michiels on horn and, very special: on alphorn. You know them, those long wooden horns from the Alps! The interplay between organ and alphorn is a surprising, but very atmospheric combination. The warm, massive sound of the church organ forms a beautiful contrast with the melancholic and natural overtones of the meters-long, wooden alphorn.
