Two worlds, one breath — a musical journey between Europe and Latin America. Met Ambos Mundos casts off all ropes at Duo Andaluza, and goes in search of the extensive sound possibilities of a violin and guitar duo together with composers from all over the world. You will be amazed by the diversity of styles and the richness of colors that this combination can bring. Kreisler) – Spanish dance from La vida breve Over Duo Andaluza: Since 2013 Nicolas Dupont (violin) and Stijn Konings (guitar) have formed the Duo Andaluza — a duo that brings passion, refinement, and virtuosity together in a unique sound world. Their mission: to rediscover, enrich, and share the repertoire for violin and guitar with a wide audience, through original programs that explore new dialogues between north and south, east and west, old and new every time. In de Belgische cultural centers is Duo Andaluza a welcome guest, where their intimate and compelling concerts are always warmly received. In addition, the duo also performed in halls such as Bozar, Flagey, and internationally in, among others, the UNESCO headquarters in Paris and the Teatro Pergolesi in Jesi (Italy). They can be heard regularly on Musiq’3 and Klara. With successful programs like Eurotrip! (2016), Soltando Amarras (2018), Ambos Mundos (2020) and the recent Entr’Acte (2024), Duo Andaluza confirms its versatility and sense of programming: music that is as compelling as it is refined. Their first full CD (2020) forms a synthesis of their artistic vision, with works by de Falla, Villa-Lobos, Piazzolla, and Sarasate, supplemented with original compositions by Wilfried Westerlinck and Laurent Boutros.
