Happy 2027!

As usual, the Brussels Philharmonic kicks off the new year with a sparkling concert full of catchy dance music. A party that’s sure to put a smile on your face! Enjoy the most beautiful Viennese waltzes, lively polkas and, as always, a surprising twist that the orchestra adds to the mix. To mark the event, the orchestra has selected some delightful gems from the operatic repertoire for this year’s programme: the refined lyricism of Giacomo Puccini, the sparkling French charm of Léo Delibes and Charles Gounod, and the dazzling bel canto fireworks of Gaetano Donizetti. These compelling arias, performed by soprano Aphrodite Patoulidou, are real crowd-pleasers. All this musical virtuosity is expertly orchestrated by a young and up-and-coming talent, conductor Julio García Vico. He brings a real burst of energy to the stage with his unique conducting style, inspired by flamenco dance and brimming with expression. Just what a New Year’s concert needs!
