The Bonnie Blues - In Own Nature

Two seasons ago, these three ladies were already on our stage at Jan De Smet, and the talent and joy of playing were immediately apparent. Now Laura Vanden Heede, Juno Kerstens, and Nele Paelinck get a whole evening to themselves. They sing, play, and accompany themselves on guitar, double bass, and violin, reaching back to music in the style of the 1910s to the 1980s. Think of Leo Martin and Queen, from De Nieuwe Snaar to The Ramblers: music that swings, charms, and breathes pure pleasure. The ladies add an extra dose of cabaret-style panache and playful slapstick. Three-part harmony and supported by many an instrument, they bring the period of then to the time of now with a wink. Silliness has not been taken this seriously in years.
