750 years of Our Lady of the Potterie

You will get to know a fascinating piece of Bruges history: the Potterie. In 2026, this care institution will be 750 years old, making it the only medieval hospital in Bruges that still performs its care function today. In addition, it is considered the oldest and most famous Marian pilgrimage site within the city walls. Once, strangers found shelter there, the sick hoped for healing, and pilgrims came from far and wide to devoutly venerate the miraculous Madonna with her Child.
