Along the way, you will hear fascinating stories about the Sint-Bernardus brewery and the legendary brewery De Bie, which has since disappeared from Watou. Let yourself be carried away past mysterious places and strong sagas, while you discover how this forest and its surroundings also formed the cradle for special beers. And yes, there will be tasting too! During the walk, we will stop for a tasting of a Sint-Bernardus. Afterward, at café Helleketel, you can enjoy an authentic Helleketel beer. This walk is a unique mix of nature, heritage, stories, and taste – ideal for those who love local history with a bittersweet edge.
