A young nurse, Alma, is put in charge of Elisabeth Vogler; an actress who seems healthy in every respect, but cannot - or will not - talk. While they spend time together, Alma talks constantly to Elisabeth, without ever getting an answer. Eventually, Alma confides her deepest secrets to an apparently compassionate Elisabeth, and notices to her shock that her own personality is beginning to merge with that of Elisabeth.

Na Kurosawa last summer, we are once again diving deep into the oeuvre of a masterful filmmaker in July and August. Summer 2026 is entirely dedicated to Ingmar Bergman - without a doubt one of the greatest filmmakers the film world has ever known. Met Persona he delivered one of his most famous titles, to which many a filmmaker is indebted. Just think of Robert Altman, David Lynch of Denis Villeneuve. The impenetrable psychological layers in the film have been causing intense film debates for over 50 years, and the themes of duality, identity, and sexuality have lost none of their relevance.
