Het Limburgs Kamerorkest has consistently managed to sell out the hall of GC Tentakel in recent years, and this year they are bringing a sparkling New Year's concert again. The program includes festive works by the Strauss family and well-known arias that immediately get under your skin.
The orchestra brings this music to life in a classical symphonic setting: about twenty string players, a full woodwind section, two horns, and the timpani together provide a rich, warm sound palette. It was precisely for this type of ensemble that the great masters wrote their most beloved compositions.
And as if that were not enough, the evening will once again be graced by a high-level soloist, who gives the whole thing extra luster.
