Day trip to gardens and nursery in West and East Flanders

On Saturday, August 8, we will first visit Arboretum Notendale by our own transport. Appointment at 10 am at the Heilig Sacramentstraat 22, 8750 Wingene. Our host, Jean-Pierre Deforce, will guide us through his arboretum (2.3 ha) with collections of rare trees including new introductions. In addition, there is an extensive assortment of rare shrubs and perennial plants to discover. We are also allowed to consume our brought picnic and drinks here. In the afternoon, Jan De Busschere will receive us at his Salvia nursery - Antoon De Lensstraat 1 - 8310 Bruges. On the way back, we will visit the private garden (30 ares) of Guy Goossens - Zwaanhoeklos 9 – 9090 Merelbeke-Melle. The owners designed this English garden 30 years ago with special perennial plants and a border with native plants.
