Bunker Day

On Sunday, June 7, Langemark-Poelkapelle is once again participating in Bunkerdag. That is your chance to discover unique military heritage up close. Between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, you can visit the Cheddar Villa bunker for free. This impressive bunker is a silent witness to the Eerste Wereldoorlog and played an important role during the battles in our region. Tijdens Bunkerdag brings this past back to life. Gids Robert Missinne takes you into the story of the bunker. You will discover what the bunker was used for and in what historical context it was used. Young or old, everyone is welcome to discover this often-hidden place and let themselves be carried away by a fascinating piece of history. Registration is not necessary.
