Ensemble Astor, Eva De Roovere, and Frank Vaganée bring a surprising musical mix in which well-known songs from our own soil get a completely new character. With passion, melancholy, and virtuosity, they transform songs like Mia van Gorki into a compelling tango, and De eerste sneeuw (The First Snow) by Jan De Wilde gets the gentle cadence of a milonga. Saxofonist Frank Vaganée colors the whole with subtle jazz influences, while Ensemble Astor lets his years of experience in the tango world shine fully. After previous successful tango arrangements of Jacques Brels repertoire, Astor proves once again how rich and versatile the tango can sound. Lies and Jeroen Met their Dutch-language listening songs have known how to strike a sensitive chord with Lies Van Camp and Jeroen Knapen for years. Their refined vocal harmony, subtle acoustic guitars, and recognizable lyrics have taken them to numerous stages in Flanders and the Netherlands. In 2024, they reached the final of the Utrechts Kleinkunst Festival, where they were awarded the personality prize after their hundredth performance. On their third album Droom (Dream), they return to the essence: two voices, guitars, and honest songs that enter softly and linger for a long time. Bass, keys, and brass accents give the songs extra warmth without losing the intimacy. De Crocs Met their infectious mix of reggae, ska, and rock bring De Crocs a concert that immediately makes the sun shine. The band combines original songs with surprising covers and resolutely chooses Dutch-language songs full of rhythm, swing, and positive energy. Wat De Crocs makes it extra special is their distinct stage presence. With a recognizable style and a strong live appearance, they build their own signature. Their concerts are buzzing with playing pleasure, summer vibes, and an irresistible urge to move along. In 2026, the band won Nief Talent, the competition for emerging artists from the Neteland region. That victory not only brought them recognition but also the chance to record new music in a professional studio.
