A journey of discovery to the foundations of our existence.
3D/AV Live is the immersive audiovisual performance system of Max Cooper. Each show is a unique experience that is completely adapted to the location. Cooper works closely with the architecture and the space to bring a characteristic mix of scientific and human stories. These stories come loose from the screen and envelop the audience in sculptures of light and sound.
This evening in Club Wintercircus is dedicated to Max’s newest album, Feeling Is Structure, supplemented with material from his celebrated oeuvre and new compositions in which he continues his exploration of the human experience via music.
Drawing from an extensive portfolio of conceptual projects, the performance is specifically composed for the acoustics of Club Wintercircus. Cooper moves effortlessly between ambient classical and driving techno, using his rich catalog of genre-crossing content. 3D/AV tells the story of the foundations of our world, and our place in it, as a sizzling, living experience.
And whoever has not had enough of Max Cooper after one evening, can indulge themselves the day after during his DJ-set in Club Wintercircus.
As a composer with a doctorate in computational biology, Max Cooper occupies a unique position within electronic music. He builds a bridge between science and art by translating complex concepts from biology and the cosmos into immersive, emotional experiences. Whether he performs as the first electronic artist in the ancient Acropolis theater or experiments with Dolby Atmos, Cooper consistently seeks the boundaries of how music and visuals merge.
With an oeuvre that reaches from driving techno to atmospheric ambient and collaborations with institutions such as the Science Museum, he creates a universe in which the laws of nature and the freedom of the mind come together in a sensory journey of discovery.
