Midnight Sun. Besides a natural phenomenon, also a jazz classic by Stan Kenton that can be heard on the new, eponymous jazz record of Lady Linn & Her Magnificent Seven. The tour Midnight Sun is an ode to dark and light, the duality of life and above all a hymn to the night. The repertoire consists of songs with 'the night' as a common denominator, each one played and arranged with space for improvisation and dialogue. Songs by, among others, JJ Cale, Nina Simone and Jamie Woon come together in a varied set that is musically woven into one whole. They all embody the endless possibilities of the night, from the boisterous bustling nightlife to budding loves to murder ballads and melancholy. Her grandfather gave Lady Linn the love for jazz from an early age. Later she studied jazz vocals at the Conservatory and founded the Magnificent Seven. Jazz is not only a great love of Lady Linn but also her Magnificent Seven come home completely with this tour. The songs are approached every time with a new freshness and different approach, which means that no concert will be exactly the same.
