The Source, sound and light show on the Town Hall

From September 25 to October 3, over 9 evenings, Tour des Sites Organisation offers LA SOURCE, a monumental sound and light show. This narrative show draws its inspiration from the history of Arlon and its inhabitants. Arlon history and traditions will be staged with the privileged architectural backdrop of the Hôtel de Ville. This event will combine artists and giant image projection through video mapping, for a unique enhancement of the Arlon architectural site, while offering a poetic and contemporary reading of its history. One would think him guided by something invisible. Yet, from his stage, he now addresses the spectators. His name matters little. His story, even less. He is of yesterday and today. He is a Water Diviner. Ever since, he wanders the lands in search of waters hidden beneath the stone. You may have already crossed paths with him, near a fountain, along a stream, or in the streets of the city. But he was already listening to the whispers of the water long before us. He was there when the Romans founded Orolaunum. He was there when the mills made the heart of the valleys beat. He was there during the sieges, fires, and bombardments that swept through Arlon. For beneath the city sleeps a huge invisible river that keeps within it the memories of men. So tonight, following the whispers of the water, he will tell us 2,000 years of memory, 2,000 years along the Semois and time.
