De Culinaire Carrousel lands in De Doolen

Kok Sophie Anthuenis is a chef at Den Bascuul, a bistro in Eksaarde that works with products from the food forest, among other things. She will spoil your taste buds with the late summer taste of the food forest. The month of October is an intense month of taste! Voedselbos De Doolen is a special forest. The food forest is located on the former football field of the village. At the moment there are only a handful of residents left, due to the development plans for the port. Nevertheless, there is still a lively community active. And it is this community that - inspired by Liese and Mat - started a food forest on this site. Liese Stuer and Mat Jongelen van De Doolen will give a tour and tell the story of the food forest: what was the motivation to start a food forest? How did they start as a community?
