Guided summer bike ride - Discovering art in the Grensleie

The cities of Menen and Wervik have a rich tradition in the field of visual arts. No fewer than 100 works of art adorn the public space. In the street scene, on squares, and in or around public buildings, we encounter both abstract and figurative statues. Sometimes they are prominently present, sometimes they stand somewhat hidden among the greenery. In recent years, Menen and Wervik have also discovered graffiti art. Colorful murals adorn the facades of houses and public buildings. During this varied bike ride, we discover dozens of works of art including Wim Delvoye, Carll Cneut, Johan Tahon, Henk Delabie, Jan Desmarets, Stephan Balkenhol, Nick Ervinck, Huib Hoste and Yvonne Serruys. We cycle not only through the centers of Menen, Geluwe, and Wervik but just as much on picturesque roads and along the banks of the Leie. Guidance by guide Jan Yperman.
