Once upon a time... there was the king of imagination. But today... he dies. At least, that's what the story says. And a story is fixed, right? Or can you still change it? In De Verbeeldeling goes Speelman playfully and philosophically to work with a big idea: what is the power of imagination in a world where everything has to be fast, logical, and ready-made? With physical play, magical video images, idiosyncratic music, and a good dose of humor, a special performance is created for everyone who believes that imagination is the most powerful crown we can wear. Inspired by Ionesco’s Exit the King, but completely translated to the world of young viewers from 6 years old.
