During this intimate concert, Guy Verlinde tells his story using the guitars that accompanied him over the years. Each guitar has its own sound, its own history - from the first chords to the blues that conquered his heart. Take a seat, close your eyes, and let yourself be carried away on an intimate musical journey. This is a listening concert: the music gets all the space and nuance. Some guitars have no pickup and are only amplified with an external microphone, so their natural sound remains pure and close. Guy is a master storyteller and between the songs, he shares stories about his musical heroes, about the influence of the blues, and about the moments when music and life touched each other. Me & My Guitars is not a regular performance, but an evening full of warm sounds, personal anecdotes, and pure passion – a musical autobiography in word and tone. Through his songs soaked in blues, roots & americana, he is often compared to Doug MacLeod, Ian Siegal, Hans Theessink & Guy Davis with whom he played several times in the past. He was also at the cradle of the flourishing Ghent blues scene together with his friend Tiny Legs Tim (1978°-2022†).
