Warre Borgmans - Warre with tight strings

Warre has always liked to sing. At 11 years old, in the fifth grade, he achieved first place in singing (unfortunately he failed the other subjects). Yet the actual step towards the microphone still took a while. Only in 2018, when he played the title role in the musical ‘Scrooge’, did the vocal cords really start to roll. For his latest performance, Warre enlisted some top classical musicians, friends with whom he sat at the table 40 years ago in the canteen of the Koninklijk Vlaams Muziek Conservatorium van Antwerpen. Together they selected a series of cheerful (and occasionally somewhat less cheerful), but always singable songs. Thus ‘Warre met Strakke Strings’ was born. Expect a repertoire full of brilliant songs, in Flemish, English, and French, packaged in frivolous, fresh, and new arrangements and performed by a phenomenal string quartet. Between the songs, there is also some cozy chatting and laughing.
