Met Jérémie Bossone the French pop-rock sensation comes to Poperinge for the third time. The first time he surprised the audience... or struck them dumb with a super performance.
After his second passage last year in the Hopmuseum, he received one of the most beautiful French cultural prizes for his songs and performance two weeks later with the Jacques Douai prize.
You never come out of an encounter with Bossone unscathed. It is just like with glowing punchers like Janis Joplin of Vissotske, who hit you like a shot in your heart and body according to the leading French music sites... sometimes you don't understand the words but you clearly perceive the essence and meaning of them.... just listen to the fantastic "La tombe" or " Rien a dire". He is both Cyrano and Don Quichote. Bossone is both a singer-songwriter and an author. He played the opening acts for many great artists and tours almost everywhere in Europe, including at major festivals in France (also in L' Olympia in Paris with Arno), Switzerland, Russia, etc... His favorite themes are melancholy, lost loves, friendship, nocturnal wanderings, alcohol... usually based on own experiences.
The characters in his songs are usually beautiful losers, crushing heroes... Bossone is currently considered in France as the missing link between Jacques Brel and Noir Désir and that is quite something... . He is also called the inventor of neorealist rock but he denies that. It is a polyform artist, who is able to slide from a rock explosion to a cover of Barbara via melancholy slams or a song by Schubert. For this concert, he is bringing his brother Benjamin as an accompanist on stage. Seeing him at work on that stage gives goosebumps and hair standing on end.... definitely not to be missed.
In the press:
Jérémie Bossone breaks down barriers to make his way through the mixture of poetic songs, slam poetry, and alternative rock, all supported by sharp lyrics."
Valérie Lehoux, TÉLÉRAMA
"It is difficult to remain indifferent to Jérémie Bossone, who gives everything, his guts, his guitar, and his stage presentation, which is extremely visual, including his appearance."
Marie-Catherine Mardi, TÉLÉRAMA
"Jérémie Bossone is a meteor, a shooting star that rushes past at high speed, a boy full of diverse projects who keeps far away from cliques. He is always to be found where you least expect him, a flamboyant admirer of his muse, armed with notes and words plucked from the garden of the greatest."
David Desreumaux, HEXAGONE
"Jérémie Bossone is a geyser that cannot be controlled, a force that is cast in music, a raw talent, an uncut diamond, a voice that balances between a slap and a caress."
