Surveying "FREE TO OBEY" (by J. Chapoutot and P. Girard - 2025)

𝗔𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 The CIEP Luxembourg and the Arlon library are teaming up to offer you an arpentage (collective reading) session of the graphic novel "𝗟𝗜𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗦 𝗗'𝗢𝗕𝗘́𝗜𝗥" (Free to Obey) by Johann Chapoutot and Philippe Girard (2025). Arpentage is a collective reading method that consists of sharing the reading of a book by dividing it into parts, allowing each participant to read and report back on a passage. This technique promotes a critical appropriation of the work. 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸: "𝗟𝗜𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗦 𝗗'𝗢𝗕𝗘́𝗜𝗥" by Johann Chapoutot and Philippe Girard (2025). A specialist in Nazism, the French historian Johann Chapoutot released a book a few years ago in which he draws parallels between the organizational methods of the Nazis and current entrepreneurial management principles. In 2025, he adapted the work into a graphic novel, a work that was praised in these terms on the BGgest site: "Unmissable for its content, Libres d'obéir is a passionate, breathless, and formidable graphic essay. A must-read". It is this comic book, "𝗟𝗜𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗦 𝗗'𝗢𝗕𝗘́𝗜𝗥", that we are offering for the last arpentage of the season.
