Operawerf, The Bell Girl (6+)

Het Klokkenmeisje is a poetic circus opera for the whole family, in which a classic fairytale merges with current themes. In a mix of live sung music, acrobatics, and magical design, The Little Match Girl (H.C. Andersen) is retold as a visual total spectacle in which child labor in the textile industry — then and now — gets a tangible place. Soprano and circus artist Liza Dedapper interprets the title character and combines singing with acrobatics. From a small trailer, a complete mini-theater unfolds, complete with decor, light, and sound.
