Day trip to Veurne and Dunkirk.

In the morning, we are received at the historic town hall of Veurne. We hear the story about the Penitential Procession while enjoying a delicious praline, enjoy a penitent beer in the old council chamber and taste a typical Veurne white sausage and head cheese. In de Albertzaal we listen to the story of Koning Albert I who had his headquarters here during WWI. For those with a sweet tooth, a piece of meringue pie, the Veurne kletskop cookies are waiting, and we end our visit with the real Veurne babelutte. For lunch, we enjoy a tasty 3-course menu. After lunch, we drive towards Frans Vlaanderen. In Duinkerke we make a tour along the harbor, the Belfry, the Saint-Elooi Church, the monument of pirate Jean Bart and the town hall. Afterwards, there is still free time to visit the center of Dunkirk. Around 6 PM, we leave back towards Zwijndrecht. Bus departure: at 7:30 AM at the Sports Hall & the Lidl.
