fABULEUS & Het Lab & 6 Limburg cultural centers / Samuel Valor Reyes - La Puta Tierra

In the spring of 2026, young people from all over Limburg participated in an audition workshop for the new youth production of fABULEUS. From this, a group of eleven young people was eventually selected who will work together on the theme of migration. Cursed earth La Puta Tierra starts as a blank sheet. Eleven young people with diverse backgrounds fill it with their own language, story, body, memory, and identity. While misunderstanding, miscommunication, and polarization grow outside the theater walls, they create a brave space inside where differences are not wiped away, but are allowed to be visible. In word, image, sound, and movement, the young people show the complexity of who they are. They balance between here and there, between origin and future. It is a story about land and space, about borders and exclusion, but also about care, softness, and the desire to come home. La Puta Tierra – Spanish for ‘the cursed earth’ – gives a voice to a generation that lives between worlds: young people who are rooted in the culture of their parents and that of the country in which they grow up. Their story is both powerful and vulnerable, permeated with anger and hope. Limburg soil Under the guidance of theater maker and performance artist Samuel Valor Reyes, who himself grew up in Beringen as the child of Spanish migrants, a performance is created that tries to build bridges. La Puta Tierra is the fourth youth production of fABULEUS, in collaboration with six Limburg cultural centers – including De Adelberg – and Het Lab. The performance is made entirely on Limburg soil and with a Limburg cast. For everyone from 14 years and up.
