In Oost-Ukraine, childhood friends see their lives violently derailed by a shifting front line. Natasha, a promising boxing talent, becomes a military paramedic. Angela, who lost her parents at a young age, survives by bringing goods to both sides of the front. Entangled in a modern Greek tragedy, the brothers Mark and Ruslan are now fighting on opposite sides of the front – against each other. Their youngest brother, Daniil, follows the war from a distance from the safety of his adoptive family in the Verenigde Staten.
