Bat Night - Belsele Dorp

Bats are the only flying mammals and their way of life is often shrouded in mystery. Throughout history, they were known as bringers of all sorts of ominous things. On this evening, we want to clarify their way of life and show their cutest side. Did you know that a bat catches and eats up to 3000 mosquitoes per evening? We are going out with the bat detector during the Night of the Bat. Together, we will discover all kinds of species based on the sounds they make. The walk we are taking will take place in Belsele park; we will depart from the front of the church of Belsele and set off together. At the end of the walk, an extra activity is also planned where you will get some information about moths, one of the bat's food sources.
