Zondag de Negenste brings the story of brothers Horst and Franz who see each other again after a life full of missed opportunities. Horst suffers from a lack of zest for life and Alzheimer's. Franz needs money and hopes for his brother's inheritance. Ook Andrea, Horst's great love, appears. Determined to make up for her lost time. Old passions, old wounds, and a rivalry between two brothers that goes back further than they realize. Whether we still know what happened on ‘Zondag de Negenste’ or not. The film weaves the memories of two brothers with those of the residents of a nursing home and thus tells, in a unique way, that caring for each other is perhaps the most essential form of humanity.
