Ontdek de Verborgen Verhalen van Wersbeek during Open Monumentendag, on Sunday, September 13, 2026!\n\nFor more than 50 years, the historical stucco ceiling of the Saint Quirinus Church in Wersbeek was hidden behind a dropped ceiling. The dropped ceiling was removed and the stucco ceiling restored to its former glory. Now the works are finished and the historical ceiling is visible again in full glory. Come view the ceiling together during Open Monumentendag!\n\nThe culture and heritage council of Bekkevoort and IOED Winar offer short, guided tours in and around the church of Wersbeek. You can view the historical stucco ceiling, but attention is also paid to some historical buildings in the village center, including the old rectory and the tithe barn. Our enthusiastic guides would love to tell you all about it! Will you walk along?\n\nOf course you are also welcome to come look at the photos in the church that were taken during the works. The choice is yours!\n\nSunday, September 13, 2026\n\nSint-Quirinuskerk, Processiestraat 18B in Wersbeek\n\nfrom 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM\n\nthere is ample parking at the church\n\nMore information via www.bekkevoort.be and www.openmonumentendag.be\n\nThe walk can also be found starting from Open Monumentendag via the IZI Travel app, search for 'Verborgen Verhalen Wersbeek'.
