Guided tour « Traces of Art Nouveau in Mechelen »

Imagine yourself back in time, in the period around 1900, the time of the horse-drawn tram, the gas-lit streets, and the architectural gems that still capture the imagination. Mechelen can be quite proud of the master builders of that time; P.J. Rooms, Theodoor Van den Bergh, Jacques De Weerdt and Cyrille Van den Bergh. Walk along with the experienced guide from the Cauchie House to discover the traces of Art Nouveau and their designers in Mechelen. Townhouses, shops, public buildings,… There are many facades decorated with colorful decorations, some in sgraffito technique. Do you know them?
